Spring time is whale time and to celebrate we have some great specials throughout September and October as Jervis Bay experiences PEAK WHALE!

Book a 2 night midweek stay and receive 30% off regular rates. Prices start at $635/double in a deluxe safari tent including 3 course dinner, full breakfast, take away packed lunch to enjoy whilst out exploring as well as use of facilities such as canoes and bikes.

September, October and early November are the best times for whale watching in Jervis Bay. The mothers and calves tend to stay closer to shore so the whale cruise boats don't need to head far off the heads, particularly good for those who suffer motion sickness!

Sometimes they are so close to shore you can see them when walking around the bay, as you can see from this image taken at Hyams Beach a few years ago.

Local operators Jervis Bay Wild and Dolphin Watch cruises have several departures a day during this time. You can add a whale cruise when booking online, or ask at reception upon arrival and we can assist in making a booking once you have checked in.

The Booderee National Park also offers some great lookouts for whale watching, from Governor Head on the Munyunga Waraga Dhurgan trail or from the Cape St George Lighthouse lookout where you can see for miles up and down the coast. Don't forget to take your complimentary packed takeaway lunch to enjoy if heading into the park, you'll be hungry after walking the trails and won't want to leave this beautiful coastal landscape.

And for an unforgettable once-in-a-lifetime experience, consider booking a whale swim tour with local operator Woebegone Freedive, but perhaps not the feint hearted!
